Wow, I am totally blown away by this evening's email from Kylie Woodard, my former Helpdesk co-worker at Synopsys. At 10:22pm she sent an email to a few of us "close friends" within Synopsys, I picked up my Blackberry JUST BY CHANCE at 10:37pm; what I read was probably in the shock factor range of 9 or 9.5 (Jeana occupies the factor of 10 level).

Alisa Banuelos, whom both Kylie and all the Helpdesk Team worked with closely for Aart DeGeus (the CEO of Synopsys) passed away yesterday evening at 9:35pm. I was shocked to read every bit of Kylie's brief email. No cause, no explanation, just that she was sad to say that, "Alisa had passed and was surrouned by family and friends . . ."

I'm still a bit upset, crying, because it brought back strong memories of Jeana's death. I went to see the movie "I Am Legend," with Will Smith. Dad picked me up at around 6:10pm and we saw it at Mercado. That movie also had some dramatic scenes of this soldier (Will Smith) protecting his wife and son, but losing them BOTH in a helicopter crash. He had thought they were both safe on board a Coast Guard chopper, but about 30 seconds after take off another chopper struck into the Coast Guard helicopter (the other choppy was taken down by some zombie-mutant types who tried to commandeer the aircraft).

It was a GREAT movie, but saddening when I thought about Jeana. So powerful, that's when you know a movie is good. When it makes a 34 year old cry like a baby, it's a damn good flick. :)

I'm going to bed now, tired and have to perform the Aperture Recalculation when I get up at 7:00am. OH JOY!!!!! ;)

Good night all. God, take care of Alisa's 10 year old son, and help her family get through this tradgedy quickly. I applied to be a Big Brother for her son this evening. I hope in some small way, whether it's once a month, or once a week, that I can help this little guy through this tough time, and be there to do fun stuff that my Dad did with me.

God Bless ALL of the Banuelos in their time of need. Amen.

Happy New Year ! ! ! Wow, I still can't believe we're six days into 2008......it seemed like 2007 went by waaaaay too fast. :)

Christmas 2007 was awesome, and although heavily broke from J. Barnes not paying the wife's wages on-time, we had a great X-Mas filled with laughter, family, and good times. New Years Eve was un-eventful, we simply kicked back, had a nice dinner at Grandma's (Tia's house) and let the kids stay up WAAAAAAAY too late watching movies. Logan's new favorite is Polar Express with Tom Hanks. We shouted, "Happy New Year!!!!!" at midnight with the rest of the Pacific Time Zone folks, and stayed up till about 1:30am enjoying the sounds, music, and TV specials they had on covering new years.

Tressa DVR'd the Evanesence: Live Set on VH1 for me. She loves Evanesence too, so it was a nice bonus show for me. She also snagged Cathouse: The Musical, so can't wait to watch that one. ;) Who doesn't love a shaved kitty any way? LOL!!!!!!!

I bought Rome Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare at Best Buy for X-Mas, he's gonna love it. The demo of the game is incredibly realistic and I want a copy some day too! :)

I also install "Insurgency" which is an Army/Marine MOD for HL2, it's pretty cool, but so real it's hard getting used to team tactics and being blown to bits by one rifle bullet. :(

We finally got the 2 tires Tressa needed for her Toyota Sienna XLE as well. They're BFGoodrich Touring Precept tires, and they ride nicely (great price $73.00 each at America's Tire store).

I might have to snag me a Blu-Ray DVD player from Frys or Circuit City soon. They're about $239 now, so that's a great price for a device that can crank out 4 or 5 times the resolution of a normal DVD!!!

Well, that's it for now....Tressa found my Canon SD700IS camera bag, so we now have the battery charger back and can actually USE the camera! ;)

Well, another week and a half of memories: ones of Jeana, Grandpa Greig, my Mom and her incessant smoking, etc, etc. OK, now on to the fun stuff, cause that shit can be depressing if you let it get to you. LMAO!!! ;)

A few days ago, I bought a SONY KDL-40XBR4 LCD flat panel TV from Fry's Electronics. The damn thing cost me $2339 + 279.00 for the three-year warranty and out the door total was $2,896 ! ! ! ! What the HELL WAS I THINKING?

Sure, it's a SONY, but it cost waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too much and I'm going to return it tonight or on Saturday afternoon. The other MAIN reason I'm returning the Sony is because it's Standard Definition picture is overtly pixelated. Granted any LCD / Plasma will be pixelized in SD, but this set's image was just way under my Videophile standards. I'm getting the 40" Samsung LN-T4061F. This'll be a great little LCD, and as per many customer reviews its Standard Def output is "good" or "great" so that's encouraging. The Sony was the same size, but looked larger because of the glass bezel frame around the whole matte black speaker enclosure.

It looked great in our bedroom, and as per Breanna (affirming she liked the Sony) stated, "Daddy, don't take this one back, I like it. It's really nice and the new TMNT is great on it." For those of you who do not know, TMNT is: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My son, Logan, loves that movie, and Breanna likes it as well.

It's got incredible CG images the res is just incredible on a PS3 in Blu-Ray format.....I borrowed my friend's PS3 for a couple days to test out the image quality on the Sony (Only word to describe it: awesome). The Samsung though will save me $1,000 and with that, hell, we could pay our car payments sooner, go out to one hell of a dinner or night in SF on the Tenderloin looking at beautiful naked women and queers. ;) Or heck, I'll just pay home owners insurance early, there's a good idea. :)

OK, Tressa, I just want you to know you are the other half of my soul now. My best friend, always, and forever. I will love you till the end of time, Babydoll. Two words, Babe: Thank you. Hugs y muchos besos!!!!! ;)

Mom & Dad: Without you, I'd be broke, and both of my cars would have been re-poe'd by now. Heheheh, that or Chase, B of A, or Commonwealth would have charged me 15 more $35 dollar over your limit fees. :) You guys are my CLASSIC ROCK N' ROLLERS, keep on Chooglin'.

Daniel and Melissa, don't fuck up this Dell computer I'm working on for you. LMAO!!!! ;) I don't know if I told Tress, but I'm working on it some, coming along good. I'll let you know by Sunday how it's going.

Logan & Breanna: Damn, you two are spoiled. But I love the hell out of both of you. You are my world. Breanna, keep smiling, be patient, and remember just because Logan has one of two identical items, doesn't mean you need to have ONE of them (so no throwing fits for the thing)!!! :) My handsome Logan remember: I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU. ;)

Refinancing . . . ahhh, what a Godsend to some, what a financial burden to others. In my case, a Godsend. I'll pay off my last three credit cards and happily grab the scissors and cut that EVIL PLASTIC mini-magnetic piece of crap in two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, with my cash-out, I'll go down to Best Buy, and purchase that 40" Samsung LNT-4061F LCD TV I've wanted for the Master Bedroom for the last 3 years. :) Heheheh, LIFE IS BLISS. I'm looking forward to paying off 80% or 90% of my Student Loan from SJSU as well. Then it's ALL ABOUT SAVINGS ACCOUNT ACTION!!!!! I'll be able to save $300 to $400 every two weeks, and I'm going to put my On-Call Pay in the Savings as well.

Life should be good, once again. It's hard when you've "gone over your head" and are living paycheck to paycheck. That's how it's been for the last two or three years.....and I've hated every minute of it; NO MORE REPRESSION FROM THE DARK SIDE!!! Be gone Credit Card companies, at last I've use The Force of the GREEN to banish your evil-ness! ;) LOL!!!!!!

OK, Sony KDL-40XBR2, Samsung LNT-4061F, or TH-42PZ700U? Off to Fry's for a DEMO!!!! :-)

Take care all, Logan's going to love me cause he plays my X-Box and PS2 in the bedroom, he'll love the color any of the above TVs give off for his games! His most common request from me is, "Can I play games?!!!!" Sure you can Logan, and Daddy will whip your ass at em' too, until you're older and can out reflex me. ;)

Well folks, I finally went out and did it. I called every EB Games, Gamestop and Target store that I know of (approx 14 stores) and I found a store that had 7 Nintendo Wii's in stock at 12:00pm. I instantly drove down there on my lunch (which was late at 1:00pm I took it) and by the time I got there and ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK OF THE STORE IN THE ELECTRONICS Department, I found ONE. Only ONE WAS LEFT ! ! ! ! ! I was amazed. In an hour and a half, 6 Wii's flew out the door by buyers eager to purchase one like myself. Incredible....can you imagine Nintendo's sales revenue, and at Christmas, I bet you won't be able to find any of them!

I drove home and dropped it off, and after work, went directly home to hook it up to my 57" Widescreen TV. It was awesome, I bought one game for it: Heatseeker (It's a fighter jet combat game). I have a huge love of Fighter Jets and all they can do, so that was the right game for me.

The control is awesome with the Nintendo remote and Nunchuk hooked up to it. The remote is your pilot's stick with the trigger firing missiles and bombs of various types. The Nunchuk is cool because it's used for Throttle control and flares/chaff defenses.

I probably should not have bought the dang Wii console, cause our Space Rent at PDR is coming up, but screw em' ! ! ! ! ;) So what if I go negative $250!!!??? What's $250 any way....LOL! NOT!!!!!!! I'm hoping/praying I can deposit some money in the account before Friday to cover my impulsive purchase. Damn, it's fun though, SUPER FUN!!!!!!! I started out in a small fighter jet that looks much like the little plane Roger Moore flew through the beginning scene of Octopussy. That was a good movie, by the way. :)

I passed a couple other missions and have an F-16 and an F-15 on-hand, currently I'm using the F-15 since it's more of a multi-strike attack fighter.

Logan's B-Day went well at Pump It Up on Fair Oaks Ave. He played, and played, and ran, and ran and ran some more. They loved all the jump houses. Breanna was smiling from ear to ear when she saw her old friend Natalia show up!!!!! It was too cool ! ! !

OK, more later, I have to finish work and go home to play me some Nintendo Wii ! ! ! ! ! ! ;)

I hate memories some times. They can be old friends that make you smile when thinking about something, yet they can be haunting and gripping to no end. All things get better in time. Well, what is time? Who knows how long I will remember the passing of my first wife, seven hours, seven days, or seven years --- or more.

I simply remember to laugh and smile each day. :) I like to joke around and have fun. Being in the IT field, we get to joke around and play our rock music loud in our cubes and generally have fun as long as we get the job done and help our customers (users that have problems with the email or they've got a blue screening laptop (Good old Dell Computers and IBMs). Hehehhe, well that's what a warranty's for, right? RIGHT. Because just like cars, computers are electronic and mechanical in nature. Like everything mechanical or electronic: IT WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL. If you don't have a warranty on it, be prepared to spend lots of money or you may just want to buy a new one. :)

I can't BELIEVE that Logan turned 3 on 7-26-07. Man he's getting big fast. Talking a lot now, and my Angel, Miss Breanna, well she's a chatter box times 50! :)

Tressa's sick, sore throat, respiratory infection, not good at all. But hey, she took some good drugs and will be sleeping soundly soon. She needs her rest so I hope it works well. Arithromyicin is supposed to be pretty good for these infections, so we'll see in 3 to 4 days if she's better. At least I hope we will, I'm missing the home cooked meals and wonderful items she puts together on our dinner table. She's an excellent cook and should be awarded the Purple Heart for the things she's done to her hands with a knife (accidentally of course). Got a knuckle of hers real good with our J.A. Henkels knife (the big one) and had to go to ER to get it fixed. YUCK, what a bummer for her, but she's alright now. She's my culinary master chef ! ! ! And did I mention.....She ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! I love you baby, if you're reading any of this Blog. :)

It's been awhile since I've written anything on my Blog. Hello readers, nice to type to you again. :)



I spent the day lazily enjoying myself. Early this morning I woke up at 7:45am, went online to Fandango.com and checked out the showtimes. I saw Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer at 10:25am. I couldn't believe the show started that early. Shows used to start at 11:15 or 12:00pm, but they're getting earlier these days. At least the price was right, took my Dad and it was $6.00 per ticket. It's usually $10.25 for an afternoon or evening show, which in my humble opinion is highway robbery. Tickets should NEVER go higher than $7.25, that's my honest opinion. I mean really, the theaters make so much money when us movie-goers get to the concession stands, it's ridiculous to charge $10.25 for a damn ticket. It's gotten so expensive, I rarely go to the movies any more (I used to go once or twice a week, now it's once or twice every couple of months). It's just cheaper to rent movies and watch them at home. If you take two kids, your wife and yourself, you're looking at $30 to $40 right at the counter if everyone wants popcorn, a small drink, and candy. OUTRAGEOUS. I'll by a Snickers, a Hershey bar, and a Reeses Cup and three Diet Cokes and a regular Coke for $6 or $7 so it comes down to being economic and a smart movie goer. Matinees are the way to go, otherwise AMC and Century Theaters: YOU CAN KISS MY ASS AND KEEP YOUR $10.25.



After the show, I fixed the Pioneer Laserdisc player in the front room, it's all hooked up once again (it's a combo Laserdisc/DVD player). Great little unit. Don't get me wrong, for Progressive Scan I use my 4 month old Sony DVD, but for Laserdiscs and kid DVDs, the Pioneer's fine. Breanna helped me hook up the Video 2 cable to the back of the TV. She's the only one small enough to get back there. Otherwise I'd have to pull the TV out (it's a 57" projection TV, so pulling it all out to access the video ports is no easy task).

Then after the kid's nap, we went to Washington Park. Logan loved the swings. They had a good time on all the Jungle Gyms, but for some reason, Logan kept obsessing on the swings. He'd yell at me when I stopped pushing him, "Daddy, push me please!!!" :)

Breanna liked the Jungle Gyms more, she enjoyed the pole on one of them saying, "Daddy, watch me," and would slide down the pole like a Fire Woman! It was cool . . . saw a black squirrel too, he was cool, off by the picnic tables looking for nuts and food. He scurried up close tree when we got near, but he was cool to watch.

I'm enjoying renting movies at Blockbuster off El Camino and Mary Ave now, they don't have any more late fees, so that's Netflix-like. They wouldn't take a trade in of Starchaser (it's a kid movie, but too violent for the kids so I wanted to get a different movie). The store manager, said nope, can't do that, if I did, I'd have to do it for every customer that had a complaint about a movie. In the end, I got Aladdin and the 40 Thieves and the manager gave me an E-Coupon that was good for one rental, so it was free (he was a pretty reasonable guy, and I was grateful).

I've been looking around for a 32" or 37" LCD TV. The Vizio looks good, and the Samsung is the best one around, but they're anywhere from $800 to $1,499 so I'm holding off for now. Would love one for the Master Bedroom, but bills and other stuff take priority. :( ONE DAY!!!!!!

That one line in the chorus: Learn To Be Still. We all need to do that from time to time. My kids are like chaotic lightning bolts sometimes. Constantly moving, constantly needing my wife's or my attention. I remembered back to when I was 5 years old, Mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, look at this, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, MOM!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehehe, she probably gave in and said, "Yeah that looks really cool, Bri," and then went back to her conversation with her girlfriend or my Grandma, but talk about nagging! What punks kids can be . . . but at the same time, the best part about kids, is that sense of belonging.

Being part of the greater good. Feeling that you are their parents, their leaders, and raising them well. It gives me such a great sense of pride, and when Breanna or Logan look at you just right and say, "Daddy, I love you," the melt factor goes to 180% or more! :)

Logan is talking up a storm now, and very communicative, he's 2 years and 7 months old now, so just a bit beyond 2.5. Man is he talking, and he's immitating sounds and behaviors like mad. He'll sit in front of my computer at home, put his TINY LITTLE hands on the keyboard and move them.....he turns to Tressa and says, "I'm working." What a crack up!!!!!!!!!

The other thing I love is he will be coughing or I hear a loud thump hit the ground when he's running like a Cheetah on speed, and I get concerned: "Logan, are you OK?" The reply always comes, "I'm OK, I'm OK." Sometimes singular, but I love it when it's twice. My favorite phrase he uses is when he wants to be close to you watching a movie: "Will you lay down with me, please?" or "Will you sit down with me. Me and you, watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!"

Breanna's into Bratz dolls these days, no more princesses. She told me yesterday, I don't like Princesses any more, I only like BRATZ dolls. I told her you can like more than one thing, babe. :) She looked at me puzzled for a second and said, "Ah, OK, I love bratz dolls but I just like princesses a little bit." Cracked me up!!! She has a new BRATZ wall comforter we hung up right over her bed with some cool curvy ornate curtain ends (looks curvy/celtic-ie? : ) but either way it's awesome, and she loves it.

Logan in turn has a Cayman Porsche poster over his bed, a few fighter jet pics, and Spider-Man, Captain America, The Hulk, and the best one WOLVERINE over his bed as well. He loves em' ! ! !

My GOD...my little girl is FIVE years old today!!! It seems like yesterday she was born at Lucille Packard's Childrens Hospital at Stanford. Breanna, your Nana & Papa came down and visited you on 1-18-07....then your B-Day party at Chuck E Cheese in Cupertino was on Saturday, 1-20-07. YOU HAD A BLAST THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! You were running every which way but loose and screamed with every present you opened that day! ;)

Everyone was elated to see you and hear your amazing 5-year-old vocabulary! Logan was closely in tow running around and screaming at all the games and things to do at Chuck E Cheese! It's a great place, and you both love going there (I think this is your 5th or 6th time you've been there).

You wear Nana out too! And PAPA!!!!! LOL!!!! It's funny to come back from Costco or the store after an hour or two, and the look on Nana's face is, "Please give me a break, I can't take no more!!!" LMAO!!!!! Poor Nana, she's not as young as she used to be, but she thinks she is! :)

Your favorite gift, you'll open tonight, it's a Leapfrog Leapster TV game-set. It hooks up to the TV and there's tons of different games for it at Fry's Electronics. The two we got you are: SpongBob Saves the Day and K for Kindergarten. You got a cool Dora the Explorer one from Uncle Rome while at Chuck E Cheese! We'll hook it up tonight and you can give it a whirl.

I've got to download all the pictures I took at Chuck E Cheese and print some good ones out for my office (and make a CD for Nana & Papa to mail down to O.C.). I love you mucho sweetheart. I was the first one to wish you Happy Birthday this morning when I woke you up for school at 7:15am. I'll probably be the last one to wish you Happy Birthday tonight when I kiss you on the forehead and say, "Go to sleep, My Princess, you have school tomorrow . . ."

Data Center Operations:

What a fun job. Shipping then un-boxing servers (IBM's, HP's, SUN, DELL, and NetApp servers/equipment, etc, etc) over at Savvis which is right across the street from Great America. After 5 years on the Helpdesk, I finally get the hell off the phones and into a better position installing servers and setting up server cabinets and powering them with Baytech and Cyclade powerstrips (they cost $500 to $600 each). I can reach the powerstrips by IP Address, and powercycle any machine I see in a panic or hung state (this way, the machine will hopefully reboot and be problem free, otherwise we have to troubleshoot what's wrong with it).

I get to drive lots of places, over to our Sunnyvale 2 and 3 buildings, over to Building A or D, and then of course over to Savvis (which is where I spend 85 to 90% of my day at).

I did one fun thing last night. I hooked up our new Comcast DVR box to my HDTV. Regular channels look a bit more fuzzy on the Comcast DVR than with the old box, but HDTV looks amazing!!!!!!!! On-Demand had an outage last night so I could not see any categories or shows that were there. This morning, the outage is still going, I hope it's fixed by tonight. I then took my exisiting Tivo box and hooked it up in the Master Bedroom. I had to run a long telephone line to it to update the program guide info (I forgot my Wireless WEP Password, so the Tivo wasn't updating via the wireless network last night, just through the phone line).

I also programmed the Comcast DVR remote, so now I can power on/off my Sony Receiver, the TV, and the DVR all from the remote! YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Christmas is coming up soon, but since we had an auto repair bill for new front pads and transmission service on our Van, I don't think we'll be buying too many presents for family members. :( That sucks, cause I always love buying things for my family. I'm only going to buy for the kids now and of course something nice for the wife. ;) I guess it's the thought that counts, right?

Breanna will be going to school full time soon, which is awesome, since she'll then be able to learn Spanish, Computer classes, and Science stuff (which she does not get now, since she's only in the morning half of the school day [they learn their letters, numbers and spelling in this half, plus story time, circle time, and play time on the playground]).

I bought a GeForce 7600 GS with 512MB of DDR2 Memory from Fry's the other night. My Geforce 6600 took a crap, so I needed a replacement. It rocks!!! Been playing Battlefield 2142 when the kids go to sleep after 9:30pm, and it's been a blast to play online with 15 to 20 other players on the same server! I kick ass in the hover tank, and pretty much smoke guys with the SNIPER RIFLE. ;)

Depression. At first utterance, it sounds like something you'd do when kneading dough or putting your hand in freshly poured cement. Well, I'm not talking about the act of depressing something (like the doctor depresses your tongue with the "tiny wooden stick, Mommy" LOL
No, I'm talking about Depression that comes over you from a loss of some kind. Every man/woman is different, and what you may find stressful, I may think nothing of . . . but I think depression and or manic "High" feelings hit us all from time to time.

Take last night for instance. It was 11:00pm on Thursday night, 11-30-06. I thought I'd simply hit the pillow and fall fast asleep. Not GONNA DO IT!!!! Wouldn't be prudent at this juncture! :) I had many thoughts of Jeana and good times we had over off of her small one bedroom she rented off of the "Old Man" and his "brat son," as per Jeana. It's hard when I have the flashbacks or think of Jeana or hear a song. I want so badly to move beyond the pain and into my life with my Wife (Tressa) and the kids (Breanna & Logan). Sometimes I just want to scream and say, "Why did this happen to such a good guy? Why God, didn't you take me instead. A child needs her mommy . . . those of us fortunate enough to be raised by a Housewife/Homemaker, need count our lucky stars. I screamed for an hour or two at 742 Santa Rita St. in Sunnyvale, CA. I was inside the house, all the windows shut, It was a trip, cause I did not have time to prepare for Holloween, it was October 31, 2002. The rental house was completely empty. The only thing I had kept there was my black stereo cabinet (which is in use today in # 209 in the Master Bedroom). I kept it so I could pack the last boxes and things up and listen to some great music while doing so . . . rockin' out to Metallica, or The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, whoever. So kids came to the door and asked the usual, "Trick or Treat" request. I had nothing to give them except I remembered in the kitchen cabinet were the candy bars I brought back from Europe called "Kinder Buenos." They are amazing, you should try one sometime. So I gave the kids some Kinder Buenos and shut the door, then shut off the porch lite, so hopefully I would get no more kids asking for candy I did not have. :) I packed up the remaining things, crying at a few steps through the packing process, and locked the front door one last time. I put the last box in my 97' Dodge Stratus ES, turned around to look at the house. It was beautiful; we were so happy there and just starting our lives with little Breanna, who was seven months old.

I have to write this funny event down somewhere, so here goes:
Jeana and I were in her bedroom of this five bedroom house, and we were getting erotic and excited to all get go! We knocked the boots, and dropped a few down, and I gave her a couple Protein Shakes which she loved and wanted more of . . . . then the humorous part happened:
The landlord's son, let's call him Jackass A, knocks on the door and shouts, "Hey could you two keep it down, please!" Jeana and I sheepishly looked at each other, laughed semi-silently and replied, "Yes, we'll try....sorry." We didn't try though, we kept up at it all night and he was PISSED when we finished up 6 other times later. We didn't care, we were young. ;)
Jeana was 38 and I was 28 at the time......the Glory Days. Man, I could last 6 or 7 times in the sack, now I'm lucky if I've got two in me. LOLOLOL, LMAO!!!

Remind me to tell you about Jim Reyes catching us "In the Act" in her rented Bedroom. LOL! OK, I'll tell you now. This is what happened, we were getting "Frisky" and Jeana wanted some Mexi-Melt action, so we went to it. Damn dog, but I loved Purdy, she was soooooo good!!! A beautiful black lab. I wished Purdy would have barked louder when she heard Jim approaching the back door. Because needless to say, I jumped out of Jeana's small full size bed REALLY QUICKLY, and onto the floor so I wouldn't be exposed to Policeman, Jim. Little did I remember I jumped on the side where her closet doors were and what were the closet doors made out of? Well, the were full size MIRRORS, so Jim could see me in all my naked glory, hunched over, trying to use the bed as semi-cover for my nakedness. LMAO!!!! It was embarassing as hell, but thinking back to it, funny as all shit!!! I was completely naked and Jeana was semi naked under the bed sheets. Damn that was a funny story I'll never forget. LOL!!!! The only words that Jim could muster up were, "Uhhhh, OK . . . I have been humbled . . . ." Jeana shouted out, "Jim, I thought you were going to come earlier?!!!" LOL! Nope, Jim had gotten off his beat at 8:00am or 9:00am, whatever time it was and came over to Mary Ave and Fremont Ave in Sunnyvale to feed Purdy and make sure she had enough water.

OK, finally went over to the Great Mall in Milpitas to repair Tressa's wedding ring. Seems like forever the the diamond was loose and rotating within the prongs, that'll be fixed in two days. :) She's happy, so I'm happy (although since I didn't have my original receipt with me, I had to pay $21.65 to get the damn thing sent out and repaired). OH JOY!!!! OK, on to more positive things.

We spent Thanksgiving weekend with Tressa's folks and had the turkey dinner at Melissa & Daniel's house next door....it was fantastic, and as always, the Valdez, Bal and Lucero ladies kicked ass on the meal and all its fixings. Right before dinner, I had a video game discovery of the Century thanks to Daniel.

It was GUITAR HERO for the Playstation 2 ! ! ! One word: WOW!!!!!!! LOL!!! It's a kick ass guitar/Rock N Roll game (a lot like the dancing pad craze of a couple years ago, except you hook up the guitar to your PS2, and strum and hold down fret notes to the rhythm of the song playing (timing is critical to getting the song right and not being booed by your audience).

It's a great game, and a lot of fun with more than one person. Next step, I'm buying the Wireless V-Guitar for $60.00!!! It's gonna be a blast playing with Tressa, if she doesn't buy the Nintendo Wii or the Playstation 3 first! LOL!!!!! ;)

I played a demo of the new Nintendo Wii's capabilities tonight at the Great Mall, called Xcite Truck (name comes off the old classic Xcite Bike I think). It was great, it's a wireless controller, that you can use in sword fighting games, tennis games, and driving games. And get this....you can turn the controller sideways (horizontally) and tilt it left and right to steer in any driving game for the Wii. Three words: Amazing Genius Gameplay!

Was able to play my iPOD Nano in the Sienna tonight on my way to the mall . . . . since getting the Camry, I've had no cassette player, so no iPOD music rocking my way to work or to Mom & Dad's, Tio & Tia's or Fry's. :)

Next step is either to upgrade the stereo/CD Player in the Camry or buy the $70 wireless FM tuner for the iPOD so I can listen to my music once again (cause God knows, without my music, Brian's not a happy, go-lucky, care-free Mexican)! ! ! ;)

OK, that's all for now, gotta get some sleep. It's Wednesday morning and I have to get up in six hours. OH JOY! More to come . . . . .

This is my First Blog on blogger.com. My name's Brian, nice to meet you. Thanks for reading my blog. Not much here, for the 1st round, but more to come I'm sure.

Real quick background on me and my family:

We're a family of four: Brian, Tressa, Breanna, and Logan.

Tressa, my beautiful wife is a great Accountant working in a Construction office on land acquisitions, payroll, and HR/401K issues......you've got a problem, she can solve it. She's the house/meal organizer. ;) She's a gourmet cook (and should be hired for her talents in the kitchen). Every meal, and I mean EVERY MEAL, is amazing. Whether it's the simplest things thrown together, or a fancy Filet Mignon, filled with bleu cheese, and wrapped with bacon, she's your gal. She is my Best Friend, a wonderful, caring, and self-sacrificing and loving person I have ever known (next to my own Mother) . . . but she's in the # 1 spot. :)

Breanna is my five year old daughter. She is amazing, talks with the utmost clarity (even though she's working on her grammar) and is a constant babbler of all things: be it clear or dis-combobulated gibberish. Her facial expressions are the best part of her energetic personality. She's always hopping around the house, tip-toe jumping cause she's excited or jumping onto the couch to watch her favorite cartoons (which are Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, and Fairly Odd Parents).

Logan is our 2 year old. He's a rowdy little bugger. Loves to throw toys, well, he loves to throw anything, and HARD!!!! He throws hard and fast for a two year old. He's rugged and strong . . . throws himselft on the couch or bed like a Tonka-Truck Rocket (if you can imagine such a vehicle)!!!! He loves to be whipped upside down and swung around, he'll smile and laugh for a minute or two, then he's like, "Yo, put me down so I can play and run, butt-munch!" LOL!!! He's started talking about 6 months ago, and has two and three word phrases down now....his vocabular is exploding!

And then there's Me. Better known as Daddy! I'm an SJSU Graduate, Criminal Justice was my major--great field. I'm currently working in Information Technology as a PC/UNIX Sys Admin & Data Center Operations Engineer (aka: DCO). Some day I'll be porting over my IT and Criminal Justice knowledge to a Sheriff's Office or City/State Police Department, Coast Guard services, etc, etc. I'm into the usual guy stuff: Computer games, music (love anything from Classical to Heavy Metal bands), movies, anything to do with Jet Fighters and air-shows, cars, home-theater equipment, collecting comic figures and sculptures (I'm a huge fan of Marvel & DC comics and tons of Anime films as well).

OK, there's the "some of the" background. I'll write more I'm sure . . . but alas, the machine calls me back to work....and as Pink Floyd says, "Welcome my son, welcome, to the machine!" ;)

Brian's Parents - Los Locos de Sunnyvale :-)

My first 10 years were spent in Cupertino, CA. I had a great childhood. My Mom was a housewife (I think they're called homemakers now, or home-wreckers if the bitches cheated on their husbands) LOL!!!! But I digress.....

My Mom:

She was a great teacher and caregiver. She was loving and supportive all my years and continues to be what I'd like myself to be and my wife to be as far as a model "For All That is Good." She was definitely "Suzy Homemaker"....always had the house clean, laundry done, and lunch and dinner on the table at 12:00pm and 5:30pm on the nose when Dad got home from work. The best thing about my Mom, she always had a smile on her face and whether silly or serious could always make me laugh. My Mom would do anything for Dad and I, and her love is only limited to what your heart may desire (she's that good :) To this day, I can't thank my Mom or Dad enough for adding patience, courtesy, understanding, communicating, loving, and an amazing sense of humor to my character. I laugh, have fun, and joke around every day to bring humor into my life and others....it's one of the things that people like most about me. I've been told I'm very personable and hilarious to hang out with. Thanks, Mom & Dad!

My Dad:

The Cable Guy, his early career made him a great cook. He was a chef at El Camino Hospital, and damn can this man cook a mean cheeseburger, steak, hotdog, chicken, etc, on that grill ! ! ! He's got a sick sense of humor, hehehehehe, that's where I get my twistedness from, a man of few words, but of integrity and caring. His heart is HUGE!!! He has made many sacrifices for Mom and I and beared a load not many men would care to bear. But he's done it in style, and without skipping a beat in his step....even though it may have been hard at times, Dad pulls through, and he does it with a smile. Why you may ask? "Cause he's the Dad."

Dad, thank you for everything you've done for me. You put up with me in High School, even though I didn't want to mow the lawns or work with you on landscaping in the back yard, or whatever! Then you got me through college at SJSU and through lots of other hardships, and I am grateful. I'll pay you back slowly and through our one-on-one counseling sessions when I'm driving our Camry or Sienna, transporting you to who know's where, so you may confess your Sins, My Son. LOL!!!!! ;)

OK, there's the latest novel. More to come . . . ohhh, Dad, "I FOUND YOUR Harmon Kardon!" ;) NOT!!!! Glad it's back in your stereo cabinet. Long live H/K.
